Mary Immaculate College has a long history of working with industry and business at local, regional and national level. The CRAFT Maker Space will allow us showcase and highlight many of these industry partnerships in this dynamic space through opportunities such as corporate sponsorship, application of new technologies and staff volunteering.
Opportunities to Collaborate
At the CRAFT Maker Space, we wish to engage with industry to provide insights, share ideas, and best practice in STEAM and information on contemporary 21st century skills (STEAM skills for life). Engaging with industry will inform the design and development of CRAFT activities and develop awareness, knowledge and understanding on future skills needs and contemporary developments in STEM and the arts.
We welcome opportunities to collaborate with industry on the delivery of STEAM outreach activities at the CRAFT Maker Space including showcasing new and cutting edge technologies, imparting expert knowledge and providing staff with options to volunteer.
The CRAFT Advisory Group
As a member of The CRAFT Advisory Group, your business will have the opportunity to input into the design and delivery of CRAFT Maker activities. Your business will be provided with avenues to reach your target market and road test new technologies. Working with MIC and the CRAFT Maker Space gives companies increased visibility across the college for future recruitment drives and also offers an opportunity to influence the impact that pre- service teachers have on their students thus also helping to build future talent pipelines.
Working with The Craft Maker Space will enable your company to achieve strategic CSR goals in particular in the areas of educational outreach and community engagement.
