Impact and Collaboration
The aim of the CRAFT Maker Space at Mary Immaculate College is to empower children, teachers and the public to embrace innovation, enhance creativity and critical thinking skills. This is achieved through exploration, play, STEAM activities and design, and build opportunities. Play allows both children and adults to explore how things work, consider possibilities and try out ideas and engage in problem solving. The open-ended learning experiences develops the participants’ higher-order thinking, creativity, independence, collaborating and ownership of learning.
The CRAFT Maker Space provides opportunities to learn how science is practiced, to understand the role of science in society, and to promote STEAM related careers.
