Space Week 2025 at the CRAFT Maker Space

There are lots of events happening all over the country for Space Week 2025 and in the CRAFT Maker Space we too are planning a range of different workshops suited to your class!

Juniors & Seniors

“Helmet Heroes: Exploring Space Gear and Senses” Discover the essential parts of a space helmet and create your own prototype while learning about the five senses! This hands-on workshop will engage young minds with fun activities and sensory exploration.

First & Second

“Moon Base Builders: Geodomes and Habitats” Explore what it takes to live on the moon by building geodomes and habitats. This workshop includes hands-on activities with triangles and math, linking to geometry and engineering concepts in the primary curriculum

Third & Fourth

“Space Cadet Fitness Lab” Discover why astronauts need to be fit for space missions. Using micro:bits, children measure their steps and reaction times, just like real astronaut trainees. The workshop builds digital skills, links to the STE curriculum, and gets everyone moving—combining coding, science, and fun physical activity!

Fifth & Sixth

“AstroData Detectives” immerses pupils in the world of space science and digital technology. Using micro:bits, students collect and analyze real data, mirroring the work of astronauts and scientists. The workshop supports the new STE curriculum by integrating coding, scientific inquiry, and maths, fostering hands-on learning and problem-solving in a fun, space-themed context.

📅 Dates: Daily workshops, Oct 7th through to October 11th   🕘 Times 09:30 & 11:15
