Explore STEM Saturdays at MIC's CRAFT Maker Space
Get ready for a journey of curiosity and discovery with STEM Saturdays. Following the resounding success of last year's workshops, we're delighted to be back to inspire young minds throughout the 2023/24 academic year.
STEM Saturdays are designed to ignite a passion for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) in children and STEAM too! These engaging workshops foster creativity and innovation through inquiry-based problem-solving activities through the Engineering Design Process, making learning a fun and hands-on experience.
By offering informal learning opportunities, STEM Saturdays play a pivotal role in connecting children to the world of STEM, emphasizing its relevance to their daily lives. With only 24 spots available, be sure to register early, as waiting lists may apply.
This year we are running two workshops each Saturday - one for 6-8 year olds (12 pm to 1:15 pm) and another for 9-11 year olds (2 pm to 3.30 pm).
These free events takes place at the CRAFT Maker Space @ Newman Hall, located at the John Henry Newman Campus of Mary Immaculate College, just off O'Connell Avenue. Join us on September 16th, with additional dates on October 14th and November 18th (to be confirmed).
