We love Maths Week at the CRAFT Maker Space and this year it runs from Saturday 10th October to Friday 18th October.
Your Move : Play Chess
On Monday Oct 12 we are very excited about welcoming chess master Tomás Fitzpatrick of ChessCraft to discover the game of chess through interactive lessons and friendly games.
Tomás is delivering two school workshops at 9.30 and 11.15 and a lunchtime workshop for adults.

Maths Week Workshops
This year we have workshops Bee the Explorer for junior and senior classes and Bee the Mathematican for 1st and 2nd class, both using Bee Bots and other technologies exploring number, shape, patterns and problem-solving.
Maths in Motion for 3rd and 4th involves solving number, shape, pattern and measurement maths puzzles to unlock materials before working in teams to design, build and test a marble run, with tricky constraints and criteria, of course.
Maths in Motion: The Ultimate Marble Run Challenge for 5th and 6th - What constitutes the best marble run? Use data, measurement, spatial reasoning and problem-solving to complete this mathematical and engineering activity and succeed in this ultimate challenge.
