ICT for Teenagers 2026 - ENGAGE with IT Camp

Details of 2026 ICT camp for teenagers announced!

The overall aim of the HEA supported ENGAGE with IT programme is to allow participants the opportunity to explore a variety of different technologies and their applications through hands-on workshops and visits to companies in the ICT sector based in Limerick and across the Mid-West region and also to explore the CRAFT Maker Space in Mary Immaculate College.

Specifically, we want the course participants to: 

  • Develop knowledge and understanding of the applications of technology in everyday life and the variety of ICT careers available to them on leaving school or graduation.
  • Develop skills in coding, robotics, 3D printing and software engineering through first-hand experience.
  • Appreciate the applications of and importance of VR, AI and IoT.
  • Be inspired and motivated by experts from the ICT industry to follow a technology career.

Trips are planned to Becton Dickenson, eSports Centre and Immersive Software Engineering unit in UL.
