Expanding the CRAFT team
As demand for CRAFT programmes continues to grow, we have expanded our team to enhance workshop delivery, strengthen evaluation and impact measurement, and support new partnerships across the region, as a result of funding from Research Ireland and Dept of Education and Youth.
In June, Dr Jason Curran joined CRAFT as a Research Assistant. With a background in mathematics, Jason supports the collection and analysis of data from our programmes and activities. His work helps us to evaluate our impact, inform future developments, and showcase the value of CRAFT's STEM education initiatives.
In September, Sowparnika Kulandaivel joined the team as a CRAFT Facilitator. Sowparnika supports the delivery of hands-on STEM workshops both in the CRAFT Maker Space at Mary Immaculate College and in communities across the Mid-West. Her appointment allows us to expand our programme offering and strengthen partnerships with schools, community groups, and other organisations.
We are also pleased to welcome Grace O'Gorman, who is completing a student placement with the Office of Enterprise & Community Engagement, of which CRAFT is a part. Grace is supporting a range of outreach and engagement activities and is gaining valuable experience in STEM education and community engagement.
