Engineers Week 2026 Workshops at CRAFT Maker Space
Why don't engineers ever get lost? Because they always follow the plan!
Welcome to our Engineers Week hub! Throughout the week of Saturday 28 February to Friday 6 March, everyone from schools, families and community groups are invited to join us for a packed schedule of engineering workshops, science shows, and digital‑making activities - all designed to spark curiosity and inspire the engineers of the future.
Hands‑On Engineering Workshops
On Tuesday and Thursday, schools can join us for a workshop to explore design, forces, structures, aerodynamics and problem‑solving through practical, engaging challenges. Workshops vary by age group and include wind engineering, structures, creative builds and more.
The Crazy Weather Show (Science2Life)
On Wednesday, it's storms, rainbows, clouds and climate concepts brought to life with live demos and audience participation from Scientific Sue, sponsored by Engineers Ireland.
Explore Engineering Showcase at Shannon Airport
On Thursday evening in Shannon Airport, we will join up with the Explore Engineering network for the Explore Engineering Showcase, where everyone can try out their engineering skills at our stand. No booking required and all are welcome.
Stop Motion Animation as Gaeilge
On Friday we have space for one school to come and enjoy a unique blend of engineering storytelling, digital creativity through Stop Motion Animation, all through Gaeilge, to celebrate Engineers & Seachtain na Gaeilge week.
